Lohmann Animal Health moves into new Animal Service Administration Center

Second phase of construction has begun

WINSLOW, MAINE (Nov. 1, 2008) — Lohmann Animal Health's Avian Services Group has moved into its new state-of-the-art Animal Service Administration Center.

"This multi-million dollar project will allow LAH to continue to meet the ever increasing demands for the AviPro line of avian vaccines worldwide.” Lohmann Animal Health president & CEO Dave Zacek said.

The new Animal Service Administration Center will serve as the focal point for managing all bird testing, both for release of product serials and new product development. The center includes offices and laboratories.

The second phase of construction has begun on a larger, technologically advanced animal testing facility.

It will provide additional isolation areas to help streamline testing procedures. The new units are designed to make working conditions more efficient for the technicians and to minimize stress levels in the birds during testing.

Phase three, which has groundbreaking set for the summer of 2010, is the Biosafety Level 3 isolation building. It is similar to the previous structure but with a higher isolation level. BL3 isolation facilities will allow research on highly contagious virus/bacteria that are not allowed in the present buildings.

Based in Winslow, Maine, LAH is a member of the PHW Group, which comprises 40 companies that produce poultry health products for the global market. For more information, contact LAH at (800) 655-1342 or visit the company's website at www.lahinternational.com.
